A Conversation with Hannah Druckenmiller: Water Quality Measurement & Policy

Recently at Caltech, the Center for Science, Society, and Public Policy teamed up with the Resnick Sustainability Institute, the Linde Institute of Economic and Management Sciences, and the Linde Center for Global Environmental Science to host an informative and productive workshop on “Innovations in the Science & Policy of Water Quality Measurement.”  Hannah Druckenmiller, on the social science faculty at Caltech, was the lead organizer of the workshop.

After the workshop’s final session on April 13, 2024, I had the chance to sit down with Hannah and discuss the workshop, why Caltech hosted a workshop on water quality science & policy, and what we learned.  I also chatted with her about her innovative research in environmental economics and why she decided to join our social science faculty.

This is the first of a number of videos that we’ll be sharing in the next few weeks from the water quality workshop, so stay tuned!
